This next scale form I have called the "Mixolydian Form".
This is not a universal name, but it is useful in helping you
differentiate between the 7 different scale forms presented in
this lesson. Mixolydian is the name of the mode that is built
from the 5th degree of a major scale. The first note in the scale
form below is the 5th degree of the major scale. (See
modes 101) If you play this scale form starting on the fret
indicated, these are the notes of a G major scale.
